Mahjong Sundays!

Mahjong Sundays!

Come learn how to play Riichi Mahjong! You've probably seen mahjong tiles in the solitaire matching game. But this Japanese multiplayer variant is like a mixture of poker and rummy that you play with tiles. But you can't just fold if you have a bad hand! You have to carefully navigate each draw and discard to stay alive. You never really know how much danger you (or your opponents) might be in! Riichi is the premier way to play in the US, and we want to expand our local playgroup and teach everyone how great this game is. Practically infinite depth achieved with simple base mechanics. Lots of room for personal style, too! No experience or familiarity required.

The Wednesday night Mahjong meetup has been one of our fastest growing events at the shop and to accommodate more players we’re adding an additional meetup now on Sundays at 2pm!

Flagons & Dragons

Join us once again at NO LAND BEYOND for an evening of table top role playing games! If you've wanted to play games like Dungeons & Dragons, rock a night of drink specials, or do both, that's what we're going to do (and you can too).
There's definitely going to be D&D, but there'll be other games as well. We're a Baltimore based tabletop gaming company, and since Bmore has been great to us, we decided to host an evening of our favorite hobby at a bar we love.
So, whether this whole thing is new to you, or you've battled your fair share of dragons, eldritch horrors, or space pirates, come enjoy some great food and drink and roll some dice.
If you're interested in running a game, reach out and let us know. Otherwise, just show up and enjoy a game.

Baltimore Go Club Meetup

The Baltimore Go Club meets at No Land Beyond every Thursday starting at 6:30pm. Come out and challenge members of the club or learn to play this ancient strategy game.

Go is an abstract strategy board game for two players, in which the aim is to surround more territory than the opponent. The game was invented in China more than 2,500 years ago and is believed to be the oldest board game continuously played to the present day.

Despite its relatively simple rules, Go is very complex. Compared to chess, Go has both a larger board with more scope for play and longer games, and, on average, many more alternatives to consider per move. The lower bound on the number of legal board positions in Go has been estimated to be 2 × 10170 which is greater than the number of atoms in the universe.

Blood on the Clocktower: A Social Deduction Game

Blood on the Clocktower: A Social Deduction Game

Blood on the Clocktower returns to NLB!

Blood on the Clocktower is a game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for five-to-twenty courageous players and one devious storyteller. Similar to Werewolf or Mafia.

A social game played in person, seated in a circle, each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust, evade detection, and wipe out the village.

This will be a beginner friendly game with rules explained by an experienced storyteller.

Mahjong Sundays!
Mar

Baltimore Go Club Meetup
